All about Caroline

Nice to meet you, I’m Caroline, one of the two Directors for Aspire To Move. I’m a mum of two wonderful daughters. I absolutely love seeing the world through their eyes and watching them experience all of the ‘firsts’ that life offers them. Absolutely nothing gives me greater joy than watching their journey through their individual and respective lives. We’re a very outdoorsy family and enjoy being out and about, walking our two beloved dogs, Willow and Mishka. Willow is a Cavapoo who is truly nuts but always makes us laugh and Mishka is a Pomsky, a stunning little lady.

I was born in Welkom, the second-largest city in the Free State province of South Africa. I started my early life in South Africa. When my family returned to the UK, we were in Swindon for a period of time before then relocating to Keynsham where I spent the majority of my life.

Food is also a love of mine even if my waistline doesn’t like it. I love nothing more than eating and trying new dishes at new restaurants. I also love having a go at most things at least once and am always up for a challenge. Surfing, biking, and white water rafting are a few of my favourite activities.

My weekends are mostly spent acting as the taxi service for my children, which I’m sure most parents can relate to. Both of my girls swim for our local club and train 5 times a week as well as swim gala’s which take up most of the weekends.

Along with this, and being members of our local football and netball teams, we don’t get too much free time. When we do, we love going out for a bike ride, walking the dogs and some good hearty food.

What were you doing before joining Aspire To Move?

My background is in the lettings industry, which I have been a part of for 18 years. Prior to this, I was selling homes for one of the world’s leading independent premium real estate consultancies.

Before I landed on the property business ladder, I had a few different jobs as an assistant buyer and also in the world of mortgages. However, by far the best job was my 2.5 years being a holiday representative working in Lanzarote, Gran Canaria, Austria and Mexico. Whilst it was very tiring, it most certainly moulded me into the person I am today. And might I add, it’s nothing like you see on TV.

Your journey to Aspire To Move

Having worked in property for 18 years as an employee, I had a love for the industry that only strengthened as time went on. However, a change of ethos of a past employer at the time and also frustration with the service we offered, led me to explore the prospect of opening an agency myself, whilst it was a scary thing to consider.  Having worked with Will as my Assistant Manager before, I knew with my knowledge and Will’s enthusiasm and drive, it would be a winning combination, perfect for the agency. We took the plunge just over three years ago now (in 2019) and haven’t looked back since. I love what we’ve achieved in such a short amount of time. We absolutely pride ourselves on ensuring that we give not just good service but service excellence! I can feel the enthusiasm of the team we’ve built and it’s thanks to all of this that we’ve found ongoing success. I could not be happier!

What’s your favourite thing about working with Aspire To Move?

I love the passion that fuels the team. This fills the office and makes us proud of what we do, it’s in our hearts and souls. We laugh every single day at work and I don’t ever get that morning dread when I get out of bed to come to work.
